I absolutely LOVE this post by Dan Gunderman with www.bigducknyc.com ! As an English minor in college and one who makes my living “in the front of the room”, I’m a big believer in chosing your words carefully and thoughtfully. The practice of purposeful word selection is, in my opinion, a dying art. Words are so powerful! Take a look at Dan’s suggestions on words to avoid in 2011. While he tags them as words for nonprofits to avoid, I think they apply across the board. Do you agree with his list? What would you add?
